Nelson Mandela's Grandson is coming to Greater Moncton

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the World.” Nelson Mandela

When you combine four New Brunswick organizations who are committed to the principles of community, diversity, social cohesion, inclusion and social enterprise…magic happens!!

Please join us for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a community conversation on peace, social justice, and conflict resolution with Siyabulela Mandela, Internationally recognized Academic and Activist Grandson of the Freedom Fighter, Nelson Mandela!

He cites that the greatest lesson he learned from his grandfather, besides the value of resilience, is the philosophy of Ubuntu – I am because you are. “We don’t believe in the sense of individualism but a sense of community. Your neighbor cannot go hungry when you have plenty.”

Madiba, as he is referred as well, will be sharing his life story, his research work, his vision for peace and his grandfather’s legacy. A panel discussion will follow with Moncton community leaders and activists.

Rearrange your schedule, tag a Team Members or a friend, find a babysitter…whatever is necessary to join us!

Plans are underway to have students from our local universities, colleges and high schools attend for FREE. Profits will be split between a charity of Mandela’s choice and our very own, Woven Cultures Tissees, whose mission complements Mandela’s.

Don't waste a minute...as quickly as this has come together...it will pass in a blink of an eye too!
